June M. Thornburg, 89, of Spring Township, passed July 27th in Columbia Cottage.

She was the widow of Robert J. Thornburg.

Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Eben and Esther (Ritter) Richards.

She worked for 38 years for Luden’s Candy as a packer retiring in 1980.

June graduated from Reading High School in 1942.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Reading.

She is survived by a daughter, Gwenlyn, wife of Charles Gring of Reading, 2 grandchildren, Kristie Rapp and Charlyn Gring, and 3 great grandchildren, Karlee, Zach, and Emma.

Service will be held Friday at 11:30 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., Reading.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
