Obituary for Miguel Seda

Miguel Seda, 71, of Reading PA died on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at the Hospital of the University of Philadelphia.
Miguel was a devoted husband to Rev. Virginia Seda with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. He was born June 26, 1943 in Guayama, Puerto Rico and the son of the late Gonzalo Seda-Viera and Alfonsa Sanchez-Caraballo.
Miguel was employed at Hofmann Steel Industries, Sinking Spring as a Steel Worker for 13 years. He attended Bible Institute of the Spanish Eastern District Assemblies of God in Reading, PA from 1969 to 1972 and graduated with a 3rd year Diploma in Christian Ministry in 1972. He was ordained on July 13, 1990 as a Certified Minister of the Spanish Eastern District Assemblies of God.
In 1984 he was called by the Lord to pastor at Iglesias Tesalonica Cristiana, Assemblies of God in Pottstown, PA, where he sowed seeds in ministry for 29 years. He also founded and pastored Segunda Iglesias Tesalonica, Assemblies of God in Reading, PA from 1988 until he parted to be with the Lord.
Miguel was a passionate fan of The Philadelphia Phillies and an avid lover of animals. He was also known to have a green thumb. Miguel was well-known for lending a hand to his immediate and extended family. Known for his smile and loving support of his fellow neighbors and ministry colleagues, he happily contributed in every way he could to the Lord’s work.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Luz V. Colon, wife of the late Rafael Colon and Carmen J. Orsini, wife of Wilfredo Orsini, Jr, three sons, Miguel A. Seda, husband of Madeline Seda, Orlando Seda, husband of Claribel Seda and Luis A. Seda, eight grandchildren: Alexandra Seda, Adelina Seda, William A. Colon, Luzllarie Rodriguez, Sariah K. Seda, Wilfredo Orsini, Jr., Emily M. Orsini and Ezequiel J. Orsini. Preceded in death by a son Samuel Seda.
On Monday October 27, 2014 at Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Rd, Temple, Pa 19560 a viewing will be held for friends and relatives to pay their respects to the family from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., following, a Funeral Service will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday Morning in Laureldale Cemetery. A Funeral Procession will be leaving Henninger Funeral Home Inc. 229 N. 5th St. Reading, Pa 19601 Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. for the cemetery.
