She was almost 98 years old.
Anna was born on January 29, 1917 to the late Maria and Frank Sergi. Anna's
family included her sisters Grace Federico, Jennie Giacinto and Josephine
Sansone, and her brothers Peter and Joseph Sergi.

Love for family, friends and neighbors was the most important aspect of life
for Anna. In 1936, family friends introduced her to Joseph Raiti of

romanced her with flowers, chocolates and visits, and they were married in

Anna moved from her beloved city and they settled in Reading where she lived
until moving to Mifflin Center at age 92.
Anna was a loving mother, excellent cook, seamstress and homemaker. She
worked for some twenty years at H. Oritsky and Sons.
Following the death of her husband in 1985, she enjoyed visiting her
children, sewing clothes for her grandchildren, canning tomatoes, peaches
and pears, and cooking Italian specialties like pasta and her renowned
meatballs, pizza and pizzelles.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Connie Hansell of Macungie, PA, her son,
Frank Raiti of Hilton Head, SC and his wife Stefanie, six grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren.
