Obituary for William E. Walter Jr.

William E. Walter, Jr., age 90, of The Highlands at Wyomissing, passed February 4th in the Reading Hospital. He was the son of the late William E. Walter (Sr.) and the late Beatrice Walter (nee Wolfe).
He attended Wyomissing High School and graduated from Reading High School in 1942.
He was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the US Navy. He saw action on Iwo Jima loading ammunition onto various combat aircraft.
He worked for DuBois Chemicals of Cincinnati, OH for 50 years, retiring as VP of Sales.
Bill was a member of Lodge No. 62 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Reading, and Rajah Shrine. He was also a member of numerous clubs and organizations.
He was a member of Calvary UCC, Reading
Bill is survived by his wife Margaret M. of the Highlands at Wyomissing, as well as daughters Sandra Lee (wife of W. Charles Fox, Naples, FL) Judith Ann (wife of Richard Garipoli, Exeter Township) and Ellen C. of Mumbai, India. Also a son Craig T. (husband of Sheila A.) of Wyomissing. There are also 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Robert, and a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140 or online.
Services will be private.
