Mary E. “Marybeth” Lieb, 89, of The Heritage of Green Hills, passed peacefully in her residence February 28th.
She was the widow of Kenneth R. Lieb who passed on May 5, 2000.
Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Harold and Pauline (Miller) Schofer.
A graduate of West Reading High School in 1943 and later a graduate of Albright College in 1946 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mrs. Lieb worked in the Social Services Department of Wernersville State Hospital from 1946 to 1955.
She was a member of Immanuel U.C.C., Shillington.
She is survived by a son, Mitchell K. husband of Tammy Lieb, daughter, Wendy L. wife of Michael Spinner, 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Spinner husband of Jessica Spinner, Sarah Petrone wife Christopher Petrone, Jeremy Spinner, Matthew Spinner fiancé of Jessica Boyer and Courtney Lieb, 7 great grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Robert, Chase, Addysin, Skylar and Ethan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading, PA at 12 Noon. Visitation will be from 11 AM to the time of service. Interment will be private.
