Margaret M. Weihrer, 87, of Muhlenberg Township, passed March 11, 2015 in Manorcare, Laureldale.
She was the widow of Bernard B. Weihrer who passed in 2010.
Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry B. and Esther S. (Matz) Frees.
Margaret was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.
She was a graduate of Reading High School and McCann School of Business.
She was a member and former officer of Alpha Ioda Sorority, Reading Alumni Chapter.
Margaret worked at the local Air Force Base during WWII assembling aiming sites for bomber aircraft, she later worked for Car-Tech for 25 years as a Pension Counselor and plant tour guide, retiring in 1993. She last owned and operated Claims Processing and Casualty Service for 13 years, retiring in 2002.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan E. wife of Manuel Amante of Muhlenberg Township and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday March 20th at 11 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading. Visitation will be from 10 AM to time of service. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.
