Sharon L. Boria, 69, passed November 10th in her residence.
Born in Emmaus, PA she was the daughter of the late Edwin P. and Viola (Erb) Bortz.
Sharon was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God.
She graduated from Alvernia College with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Addiction Studies and a Master’s Degree in Business.
She was a Counselor and last worked for A.A.R.P.
Sharon enjoyed to read, write, go for walks and listen to music.
She is survived by eight children, Gilbert Boria, Juan Boria husband of Robin Boria, Israel Boria Jr., Jon Bortz husband of Janice Bortz, Delano Bortz, Anita Gibson wife of David Gibson, Lalita Velazquez wife of Luis Velazquez, and Dionisia Hoffman wife of Kelly Hoffman; sister, Yvonne Bogert; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Christopher Bortz and a brother, James Bortz.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
Viewing will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM in the funeral home.
