Obituary for Kathryn Szczepkowski (Hoffert)

Kathryn Szczepkowski, 88, of Reading, passed away August 13, 2016 in her residence.

She was the widow of Edmond S. Szczepkowski.

Born in Mohnton, PA she was the daughter of the late Leon J. and Sarah E. (Bucher) Hoffert.

She worked at Barmac Shoes and later at Berks County Prison as a Matron retiring in 1990.

She is survived by a son, Edward S. Szczepkowski, daughter, Kathleen J. Szczepkowski, sisters, Betty wife of Donald Sterner and Jane wife of Donald Feeney and a brother, Leonard. There are also five grandchildren, Michael, Kim, Stephanie, Joseph and Chad and ten great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 10 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, 229 N. 5th St., Reading. Viewing will be held from 8 AM to 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow service in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
