William A. Brooks, 80, formerly of Reading, passed August 12th in the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehab. Center.
He was the widower of Mary (Harvilicz) Brooks.
Born in Reading, PA he was the son of the late Clayton and Louise (Noe) Brooks.
William served in the U.S. Airforce where he served as an aerial photographer and was also a Golden Glove Boxer.
He later owned and operated his own photography business and general contracting business. As a contractor he did extensive renovations at the The Villa St. Elizabeth over a period of many years.
He has a passion for the outdoors, which included videography, photography and hunting of wildlife. He was a world class hunter and received the Boone & Crockett Award and the Safari Club International Award for his trophies.
He is survived by his children, William A. Davidheiser, Roseann Fleming and William A. Brooks Jr.; grandchildren, Courtney, Eric and Jarron; brothers, Clayton and George Brooks and a sister, Marie Brooks.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple, PA 19560.
