Luther K. Bernecker, 91, passed September 23, 2017 at Berks Heim Nursing Home.

He was married to Laura A. (Reinbold) Bernecker for 69 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Charles Bernecker and Katie Klase.

He worked for 30 yrs at Food Fair/Pantry Pride. He was a bookkeeping consultant for various businesses including for Lehigh Valley Child Care full time. He also served as Alderman for Allentown’s 14th ward.

Luther is also survived by his six children: David, Candace, Craig, Melody, Mark, and Daren; his 19 grandchildren, his 19 great-grandchildren, and his two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

He was Lutheran and a member of various churches.

A memorial service will be held at the Berks Heim Nursing Home,1011 Berks Rd, Leesport, Saturday September 30th at 10:30am.
