Walter I. Quade passed away peacefully on October 29th at the age of 82. Born in Reading he was the 2nd son of Pearl and Charles Quade. He worked at EMR Corporation as Executive Vice President before joining his wife in their home based business, Miss Linda's Doll Clothes. He was a member in good standing of the Reading Masonic Lodge #549. He was President of the Electrical Association from 1974 to 1975. He served on the Wilson School Board in 1975. He was a member of the NSSA and shot black powder. He is survived by his wife Linda Berkenstock Quade of 34 years. Two daughters Diane Donahue and Nancy Quade Cox wife of Ron Cox. Two stepsons Reverend Kerry Hicks husband of Terri and Gregg Hicks husband of Lisa. Also 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Plus the fabulous Martini. In lieu of flowers friends and family may contribute to the American Cancer Association or the Humane Society of Berks County, Reading, PA. Services will be private. Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
