Obituary for Susan L. Fetterolf

Susan L.   Fetterolf
Susan Lynn Fetterolf, born in Somerset, Pa, October 3, 1952, died April 29, 2018, in Reading, Pa., from multiple myeloma. Married to Jeffrey Edward Gorrin for 32 years. She was preceded in death by parents, Myron F. Fetterolf and Inez Lou (Mitchell) Fetterolf. She is survived by one daughter, Abigail Lynn Gorrin of Oley, Pa.; sister, Sandra (Fetterolf) Dalesandro and husband, Anthony; brother Donald Fetterolf and wife, Linda; brother M. Mitchell Fetterolf and wife, Janet; sister-in-law Elizabeth Gorrin Dardes; father and mother in law, Gerald M. Gorrin and Shirley B. Gorrin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graduated from Jenner-Boswell Joint High School 1970; Chatham College 1974; attended Tyler School of Art, Temple University; and received an MFA from the Hoffberger Program of the Maryland Institute of Art 1978.

Lived in New York City where she was an artist; chairperson of the Organization of Independent Artists. Moved to Oley, Pa, , where she was involved with the Pike Oley District Preservation Coalition, and supported the Oley Valley Community Library and county historic organizations. She was an avid antique collector, loved spending time at her beloved Village Farm, loved her animals, and enjoyed entertaining with her artistic sense of style and close attention to detail.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home on Saturday, May 5th, 1pm-3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, attention: Brooke Roberts, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Flr., Norwalk, CT. 06951.
