Doris L. Raab, 88, of St. Augustine, Florida and formerly of Wyomissing, passed at Moultrie Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on June 18th.
She was the widow of James W. Raab, her husband of 65 years.
Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Jennie M. (Bortz) Lengel.
Doris was a graduate of Reading High School. The mother of two worked as a tour guide at the Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine in the 1950’s and retired as a legal secretary for Gerald S. Zember, Esquire.
She will be greatly missed by her two children, Thomas husband of Jacquelyn Raab of Sinking Spring; Anne L. (Raab) wife of David Border of St. Augustine, Florida; two grandchildren, Matthew Border of Orlando, Florida and Kristin (Raab) wife of Daniel Dinsmore of Jacksonville, Florida.
She was also pre-deceased by a sister, Grace Schaeffer and a niece Karen Schaeffer.
A funeral service was held in St. Augustine. A viewing will be held Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM followed by a service at 11:30 AM in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
