Obituary
Anne P. Seltzer, 59, of Wyomissing Hills, PA, passed away December 21, 2016 at East Cooper Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
Born in Uniontown, PA, daughter of the late Betty and Leonard Pariser, and sister of the late David Pariser, Anne is survived by her husband Alan Seltzer; sons Jonathan Glick, Benjamin Seltzer, and Matthew Seltzer; dog Buttons; and a community of people who loved her.
Anne was a graduate of Uniontown High School and Albright College, where she received a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in psychology. Anne wore many hats in her life; community activist and organizer, political advocate, volunteer, mother, and friend. She was the president of Easy Does It, Inc., was a former member of the Wyomissing School Board, and was active in her temple, Oheb Sholom. She was a fierce advocate for her family and various local causes. You could find Anne leading a meeting at EDI, volunteering at the soup kitchen, cooking for the Temple Oheb Sholom bake sale, at a school board meeting, or in her kitchen baking cookies for others. Everyone who met Anne was engulfed by her warmth and was immediately treated as a friend. She was a mother to many, an advocate to more, and a friend to all. Her arms and her door always remained open.
For those who wish to pay their respects, a Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Oheb Sholom, 555 Warwick Dr., Wyomissing, PA 19610 to be presided over by Rabbi Brian Michelson. Immediately following the service, Anne will once again open her door to friends at her home at 97 Grandview Blvd., Wyomissing Hills, PA 19609. In honor of Anne, her family requests those attending the Memorial Service or gathering wear bright colors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to any of Anne’s charitable endeavors, including Easy Does It, Inc., Temple Oheb Sholom, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Arrangements are being handled by Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. Please leave condolences online at www.henningerfuneralhome.com
