Obituary for Shirley Q. Blumberg

Shirley Q. Blumberg, 92, formerly of Mt. Penn, passed away in the morning hours Wednesday, June 28, 2017, of natural causes in Eden Homes of Bethesda, Bethesda, MD.

She was the widow of the late David M. Blumberg, who died February 26, 2007.

Born October 9, 1924, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Meyer Quartner and Katherine (nee’ Neuman) Quartner.

She was a member of Kesher Zion Synagogue.

She is survived by her children: Andrea B. Watkins (Dr. Jeffrey Sternlieb), Wyomissing and J. William Blumberg, Potomac, MD; seven Grandchildren and seven Great-grandchildren also survive.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan B. Singer.

Graveside services for the family will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, at 11am in Kesher Zion Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to The Susan B. Singer Breast Cancer Memorial Fund at Breast Cancer Support Services, 529 Reading Ave., West Reading, PA 19611.
